Transitional rugs blend elements of modern and traditional styles together. These rugs may feature patterns similar to a distressed antique rug but with bold and bright colours found in more modern and contemporary rugs. The reverse can also be classed as a transitional style rug to the point of blurring the lines and distinctions between them.
